Captain Solomon Nyanjui

With over 10,000 flight hours and more than 35 years of helicopter flying experience, Captain Nyanjui has built an exceptional career in aviation. As a former Kenya Army pilot, he served as a Squadron Commander and Chief Instructor, demonstrating outstanding leadership and operational expertise. Following his distinguished military service, he brought his vast experience to the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS), where he served as the Head of Airwing for over 10 years. During his tenure, he oversaw critical wildlife conservation initiatives, including anti-poaching operations, aerial surveys, and the monitoring of protected areas.

In 2010, Captain Nyanjui co-founded Mayfair Aviation and has since played a significant role in its growth and success. Over the years, he has held various leadership positions within the company, contributing to its reputation for operational excellence and superior service delivery. His deep understanding of aviation operations, combined with his extensive hands- on experience, has been instrumental in ensuring Mayfair Aviation remains a trusted name in the industry. Additionally, as a Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) licensed instructor and a holder of an ATPL license, Captain Nyanjui continues to mentor and train the next generation of aviation professionals.

Now serving as Mayfair Aviation’s Chief Pilot and Head of Operations, Captain Nyanjui is responsible for crew training, operational oversight, and ensuring strict compliance with safety standards. His leadership plays a pivotal role in maintaining the company’s commitment to excellence. With unwavering dedication to safety, service, and innovation, Captain Nyanjui remains an integral part of Mayfair Aviation’s continued success in Aviation.

Captain Wilfred Ngumo

Captain Ngumo joined Mayfair Aviation in 2018, bringing over 40 years of aviation experience to his role as Accountable Manager. As former Kenya Army pilot, he has a distinguished career marked by leadership, operational excellence, and dedication to safety. Having also served as the Chief Pilot at Kenya Power for 20 years, Captain Ngumo brings not only extensive experience but also proven leadership in managing complex aviation operations.

Captain Martel Mwaniki

Martel joined us in 2023, having served previously in the military as a helicopter pilot. With a helicopter background spanning 10 years, he brings extensive experience and a strong commitment to operational excellence. Throughout his career, he has flown a variety of missions, including aerial surveys, medical evacuations, and peace keeping. His dedication to safety and precision makes him an essential part of our team, ensuring every flight meets the highest standards of professionalism and service.

Ground Operations Manager

Ruth Aengwo

Ruth Aengwo has been a dedicated member of Mayfair for 13 years, serving as a Flight Operations officer and eventually becoming the Operations Manager. She is responsible for flight planning and coordinating with pilots to ensure every journey is conducted with the highest standards of safety and efficiency. Her extensive experience and in-depth understanding of aviation operations play a crucial role in ensuring seamless and reliable flights.

As a licensed dispatcher and holder of a bachelor’s degree in aviation management, Ruth brings both technical expertise and strategic insight to her role. Her commitment to operational excellence and her ability to navigate complex aviation challenges make her an invaluable leader within the Mayfair team.

Mayfair Aviation - Paul Kiarie
Head of Safety

Paul Kiarie

Paul joined Mayfair in 2011 and is one of the company’s longest-serving members. He spent several years in the Operations Department, gaining valuable experience before transitioning to the Safety Department in 2018. As the Head of Safety, Paul is responsible for ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols across all operations.

He works closely with aviation safety stakeholders, including regulatory authorities and industry partners, to ensure Mayfair remains compliant with all safety regulations. His dedication and expertise play a key role in maintaining the company’s commitment to the highest standards of safety and operational excellence.

Mayfair Aviation - John Kamau
Head of Quality

John Kamau

John, our Head of Quality, has been with Mayfair since 2018. He began as a Flight Operations intern and spent three years in the department before transitioning to the Quality Department in 2021 after completing a Quality Management Systems course. John ensures Mayfair remains compliant with aviation regulations and works closely with aviation authorities to uphold the highest standards of safety and quality.

Flight Dispatcher

Dennis Osoro

Dennis joined our Operations team in 2021 after earning his Flight Dispatch Diploma from the East African School of Aviation. He works in the operations department assisting with daily flight operations and ensuring smooth coordination. Dennis also collaborates with the maintenance organization on aircraft maintenance matters, contributing to the safety and efficiency of our operations.
